“Omer is one of ARSHIE’s earliest friends—an extraordinary floral artist and world traveler whose personal style inspires me. She has an effortless way of looking chic whether at an event creating meticulously researched opulent designs or while working in her Lisbon-based studio. We are thrilled to introduce our new editorial series, POCKET THIS, to the ARSHIE audience featuring Omer's magical creativity."

-Nayirie K. Mehdikhani

My name is Omer. I am a creative director and designer based in Lisbon. I specialise in set design, styling, and floral design.

I would describe my style as classic, timeless, and comfortable. I often wear blazers, as they are always a perfect solution—both elegant and practical at the same time. I also gravitate towards dresses or tailored trousers. For shoes, I usually wear loafers during the day, and during events I wear a small, kitten heel that allows me to move easily while still looking chic.

What items do you carry in your ARSHIE Pocket that you cannot leave home without? Which objects make you feel prepared for whatever the day brings?

I always carry a measuring tape, my phone, sunglasses, studio keys, and a notebook with a pen in case an idea comes to mind. On production days, I also keep scissors and a knife with me—you never know when you’ll need them.

Is there anything with sentimental value that you always carry or hold for nostalgia, calm, or a good luck charm?

It’s not a lucky charm, but in my notebook I write my thoughts, manifestations, and goals—many of which tend to come true later.

Do you empty and fill your pockets each day, or let life collect in them?

I empty my pockets almost every day, but sometimes I find sweet surprises, like a €20 bill or a lip gloss.

What usually ends up in your pocket without realizing?

I always end up finding a plane ticket after weeks.

What are you carrying in your ARSHIE Pocket today?

TODAY, IN MY ARSHIE POCKET,
I'M CARRYING MY MEASURING TAPE,
AIRPODS, AND STUDIO KEYS.
